Short's Brewery - They have officially hit the Milwaukee market.  Haven't heard much in the way release events.

Stone Brewery - Stone Launch Party at Champp's in Brookfield on June 14th.  Can only imagine retail stores would getting the beers around that time.

Goose Island - We all know that Barleywine and Coffee variants for the 2015 batch are infected. We are now hearing that the Bourbon County Brand Stout is also showing some signs of infection.  It seems to be pretty sporadic and I hear that they believe it could have been from the bottling line. If that's accurate, could Rare be facing the same issues?

Stone Brewery - Looks like we are getting Stone Brewery here in Wisconsin, but the official launch looks to have been pushed back to sometime in June.  I have it on good authority that they plan on coming in guns blazing, so I am excited to see what type of events will be wrapped around this.

New Glarus Brewery - A few months back a picture was posted online that had a comment that New Glarus Brewing was going to begin canning. That was determined to be false but a new rumor is now swirling around that new equipment is on it's way and that it is a canning line.  I personally think it would be great to see NG cans show up on the market so that people can take them camping, to the beach and anywhere else bottles are not allowed.  As of today (3/30) I have not received confirmation or denial. *UPDATE NG has announced they are in fact canning now. First up, Spotted Cow and Moon Man!

Central Waters Brewing - It was announced on their Facebook page that they have a stout that has been aged 3 years in bourbon barrels that aged bourbon for 25 years.  In order to make it fair, they are setting up a lottery for 250 people to have the privilege to buy up to 2 bottles and bring a friend who would also have the option of buying 2 bottles for a 1000 bottle limit.  This brew is called Ardea Insignis and I am betting its going to be pretty amazing. I talked to my buddy Chris about this and we have some interesting speculation and insight.

  1. The beer was brewed three years ago. By our estimates it would have been brewed around the same time as the 16th Anniversary beer.  So... is this 16 aged for 3 years??  Hmmm...
  2. Goose Island released Rare which was their Bourbon County Brand Stout aged 2 years in 30 year old Heaven Hill barrels.  I am claiming they copied Central Waters and I am sticking to that!
  3. Did CW keg this beer at all? And if so, when we will see it? Milwaukee Beer Week??
  4. Anyone else know of a brewery that is doing something similar? If you do, let us know!
